THE PROCESS
-
BRAIN STORM
A mind map of ideas and concepts that could be linked to Method Labs. References to city life, experimentation, risk, and danger stood out to the brand.
-
COLORS
This color palette pulls from the cold colors of cityscapes as the brand began in a large city. Concrete, glass buildings, patchy park grass, were all used as inspiration.
-
PRIMARY LOGO BREAKDOWN
This logo is a combination of a hop and the letter M. The stem and top portion of the hop were also inspired by the stereotypical nerd genius haircut and cowlick. (See: Mandark from Dexter’s Laboratory)
-
FINAL CUT
The final designs of the project drew upon the similarities of crafting new drinks and the the experimental nature of the laboratory. The more detailed illustrations were included to extend the brands visual identity beyond the typical confines of singular traditional logo.
