    Nuked Vintage is an Australian apparel company. The brand prides itself on authenticity and encourages customers to embrace and express who they really are. Nuked Vintage wanted an illustrative logo, that paid homage to the Rubber Hose era of animation, expressed their individuality, all while maintaining the core principles of logo design.

THE PROCESS

  • BRAIN STORM

    A mind map of ideas and concepts that could be linked to Nuked Vintage’s brand. The themes that stood out were, retro, messy, bomb, emotional, and ink.

  • VISUAL EXPLORATION

    To determine the color palette several mood boards were created. The primary colors of this board stood out to the brand. These colors honored the youthful and playful energy behind the company.

  • SKETCHES

    Rough digital sketches of concepts from the mind map. Iconography that stood out were the ink drips, bomb, and white gloves.

  • FINAL CUT

    The bomb, and white glove were chosen as the final logos for the brand. We determined that these illustrative elements best communicated the brands creative and authentic nature.
